[Biography]

Born in Oxford into a house full of artists, Felix began his musical education at the age of 9 as a member the world famous New College Choir. inspired by his father [conductor] Edward and older brother [producer] Orlando aka TEED  

Felix went on to study Jazz at the Royal Academy of Music and King's College London, before moving to Rio de Janeiro to delve deeply into traditions of Brazilian music. 

 

Felix's versatility has allowed him to work across the whole spectrum of music and has collaborated, performed  or recorded with numerous artists including Songhoy Blues, Snarky Puppy, Kandace Springs, London Philharmonia Orchestra, London Contemporary Orchestra, Banda Magda,

Bill Laurance, Melt Yourself Down, Low Island, The National Theatre, Banks, Dan Zanes, Academy of Ancient Music,  Chamber Orchestra of London, Karl Jenkins, Judi Jackson, NYJO.

 

Felix's broad musical life has sown the seeds for a diverse range of creative expression. Now working out of London, Felix splits his time between writing, producing and performing - a very natural combination for a musician inspired by the Jazz attributes of collaboration and improvisation.

 

One such result has been as a founding member of the critically acclaimed band  Low Island who's output is now a mainstay of Radio 6 Music as well as becoming BBC R1's track of the week.
